The rescheduled Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games have moved a step closer following confirmation of the revised competition timetable.
The Games have been moved back a year, to the summer of 2021 - but while there have been some minor changes to session times, each session of the Olympics in the Japanese capital has been scheduled as originally planned for 2020.
The Opening Ceremony will now take place on Friday 23rd July 2021, with the first swimming event of the Games - the Men's 400m Individual Medley heats - getting underway the following day, Saturday 24th July
