Message from Lothian Region Convenor
The Lothian Region ran a more than successful Children's Gala on Saturday 29 January.
The majority of swimmers who attended had never experienced a competition before so the odd nerve or two could be seen. There were also a few coaches for whom this was also their first time in this environment also.
Safe to say everyone had a fabulous time, the noise the swimmers made in supporting their team mates was something to hear and their joy was evident in and around the pool.
I cannot express the committees thanks to those who attended and adhered to the facility restrictions.
A big thank you also goes to the background staff who work hard in making these meets possible before and during the day, many of which have not had swimmers swimming for many years and who also never see sight of the swimming that is going on
